ModeratorHello everybody !
We are re-starting the idea and going for an "unplugged" version of Alexx Calise "End Of The World"
Everybody is warmly encouraged to participate. Nothing to win except .......... (insert your price here)
General set up:
Song is "End Of The World" by Alexxx Calise.
Only 16 tracks to use.
Try not to use original drums tracks - we are free and encouraged to record any percussion by ourselves or use whatever you have, even samples.
No drums or percussion is absolutely fine too.
Use any given plugin you have and need to.
We are aiming for "Unplugged" version.
Deadline: March 18th (just because).Let me see you stripped (version) !

Participantok sorry i posted in the other
i have acoustic guitar and bass and some crappy drums
but the vocals are sorta needing that resinging treatment any ideas?March 1, 2019 at 3:52 pm #58417Arthur Labus
ModeratorNo problem Kip.
So i took my current "regular" mix and throw out everything "electric".
Moved the acoustic guitars forward, made bass less "bassy" and reamped DI guitars "clean"
No synths, no shizzle.
Also used only the main vocal track with "live room" settings.
Voila - i have a rough idea ready.
It works for me. I could post my raw version and we could see.March 1, 2019 at 4:03 pm #58421Mark Holden
ParticipantHello
Great stuff I'll be getting a rough ready tomorrow pretty much along the lines you mentioned Arthur.
One question when we say 16 tracks that would be 16 audio tracks/channels plus buses or are the buses included in the count?

ModeratorUuuh, i think we let it be at 16 tracks and even the count of busses, groups, whatever which is necessary to mix.

ModeratorThis is fantastic Kip !
Even the drums are really good sounding in the mix.
It has that certain certain unplugged vibe.
Great work on bass and guitar.
Just maybe some shakers and its done.
Maybe bass is too boomy, however it is great !March 2, 2019 at 12:41 am #58430Sergio Maggi

ParticipantHello
Kip that sets the bar high! My brain was thinking use the tracks provided, I think you may of just written a song Alex could use in an unplugged set for real.
looking forward to what you call finished 🙂
I'm having to think once we start including the buses in the 16 channel count. They way I'm going about it is to think what would I have recorded into one track from the off. Then merge/bounce those straight off. The acoustics and some DI's I've merged to stereo to import, which gives 11 audio channels and 5 buses. I have to commit to get space for drums/beat.
