Hi, I purchased Home Studio Recording and enjoy this book a lot. Is there a great resource to learn the signal path for a basic studio digital gear setup to an ultimate digital studio setup? I could not find anything for word clock in The Home Studio Recording book. I wanted to have a strong master word clock for my small studio.
I needed to learn about setting up a master word clock for all my digital gear. I have the MOTU XT which could be used for word clock master. Black Lion has a great word clock device. UA and AVID interfaces are great but I wanted to invest in a few fundamental high end items.
I was not sure about which audio interface to upgrade to, probably the UA x16. But having a strong solid word clock for my entire studio, decent AD/DA, and a good power conditioner will help everything else quite a lot.
