      - Name:
      Sergio Maggi

      - Where your studio is based:
Cavenago Brianza, near Monza, Bergamo and Milano, north Italy

      ZSM1

      ZSM2 ZSM3

      - Bio
I play drums since my childhood, in various bands and situations. I started experimenting with
analog recording since the days of 4 tracks cassette decks… today after 40 years of drumming and
20 years of experience in recording and mixing, I can offer with my little home studio online mixing
and mastering services. I also produce live drums and percussions multi-tracks recordings on
      demand.

      - DAW of choice:
      Logic Pro X

      - Genres you primarily work with:
      Pop, Country, Rock

      - Favorite Plugins:
Waves CLA Mixdown, Waves MV2, Klanghelm MJUC, Waves Scheps Omni Channel, Waves SSL

      - Gear List:
MacBook Pro with Logic, Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 audio interface, Icon QCon Pro G2 control
interface, M-Audio Oxygen 25 keyboard controller, Art PRO VLA II tube compressor, Neutrik Rean
NYS SPP-L1 patchbay, JBL 308P MKII loudspeakers, Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro and Sennheiser
      HD650 headphones, HP 27es and 22es monitors.

Yamaha Stage Custom Birch 2019 with microphones: AKG D112 (bass drums 22”), Shure SM57
(Yamaha Manu Katché snare drum nickel over brass 14”x5.5”), Beyerdynamic TG D58 (tom 10”
and tom 12”), EV PL 35 (Floor Tom 16”), Lewitt LCT 040 MP matched pair (overheads), Zildjian
Cymbals, Gibraltar and Yamaha hardware, Evans heads, Vic Firth SIH 1 Headphones.

      Rode NT-1 A microphone (vocals).
      Sterling AX3-TBK/M electric guitar.

      - What Equipment do you have your eyes on currently:
I’d like to experiment a bit with some 1176 and LA-2A original or (more realistically) good clones
hardware models. Update: after seeing Warren's video at Sunset Sound, I'm really into IK Multimedia Sunset Sound Studio Reverb!

      - Any other cool things about your studio we should know?
It's a residential studio made in my house basement, so I have the privilege to have my drums,
guitar, mics and synths always cabled, connected and ready to make music every time I feel to!

What a great setup. How do you like the Q Con?

              Hi Mark, thanks.
The Q Con it's a real game changer. I'm moving faster now, especially during initial gain staging but also during final mixing. The possibility alone to have faders and pan-pots regulations is priceless.
