Hey All,
I've been recording some vocals for a YouTube video and I'm looking for tips regarding mixing vocals recorded with dynamic microphones. We were using a few Sennheiser e 835's (at least I'm pretty sure that's what they were) because we were doing a "live" performance and didn't want to pick up all that extra noise that those more sensitive condenser mics grab.
The sound feels a bit "honky" or "nasaly" but I don't wanna cut too much of the low-mids since I have a tendency to go crazy down there and make things sound thin.
Anyone out there do this kind of a thing regularly? Have any tips or tricks?
