      Hi guys,

I have a session coming up where I'll be recording nylon jazz guitar and I'm having trouble finding any specific advice online. In general, I gather my best approach is either one small condenser at the 12th fret, or a matched pair, one at the 12th, and the second either behind the bridge, or above the player's shoulder pointing down, and equidistant to the guitar from the first mic. My room is small and treated, so I won't probably get much room sound. The player will be improvising over prerecorded tracks.

Otherwise I'm winging it. Anything else I should know besides listen to what I'm getting from the mics?

      Thanks so much! Giselle
