      A few questions for y'all...

I was exploring this trick for a mix I've been working on:

CREATE ‘EAR CANDY’ AND ADDITIONAL MOVEMENT WITH
      FX AND PANNING

Taking a generic drum loop (even one that doesn’t seem appropriate!) timing it to the track, panning elements left and right, removing low end and distorting it creates percussion that moves the song along and creates yet more ear candy! Your headphones will love it!

Haven't heard of this one before, I couldn't really follow it. It was interesting, but not sure I did it correctly. Very curious about how it's meant to sound. If you use this can you give me advice? Do you know refs I could listen to?

Also, earlier I came across the use of serial limiters with practically inaudible GR used for widening the image, rather than the use of stereo-widening FX. It was surprisingly effective, and didn't introduce phase problems. Happen to use this? Know how it works?
