      Noise Floor
I record vocals low, and I need to get more volume. So I use compression and limiting to get more volume. However when I do this I get the white noise in the background.
How can I get volume without the noise?

What is your recording system ? Windows or Mac or else ?

What do you mean by "low"? Lower than e.g. -24 dBFS?
What do you mean with "I need more volume"?

I'm using Windows, I have a MXL 1000 Mic going into a aphex 107 pre amp> to usb interface. I'm using reason 8 to record.

I would say, at least you could try Reafir from Coockos (free plugin from Reaper).
You can make a sound profile from your noise floor and substract all that from track.
                Works good for me.
However, not sure about Reason (3rd party plugin) but at least you could try it with another software (Audacity ?!)
