      hey, wanted to share/ask something really quick, maybe it'll help inspire someone...
      I'm sculpting some bass presets for a project. imagine that big warm sound with a lot of detail in the mid-range. and tone that sounds like it's driven by a light/moderate ammount. imagine john entwhistle from the who

      here is the idea for a starting point...
      Signal Flow

      I'm recording DI, using an IR created from this setup.
      Amp+pedal

      which used these mics to add warmth and colour.

      the bass being used is a 1980s fender squire (p-bass) played aggressively, finger-style

      I'd love to get some input on some other options. If it were up to you, what would you do?
