      Hi most awesome music community.

I’m looking to buy a properly weighted keyboard to learn on and so my son can learn as well. I’d love one with midi but they tend to be pretty pricey. This has all the other specs I’m looking for at a sensible price. Any thoughts or recommendations for others in the AU$800, (including stand), price range?

      thanks so much!!

A Casio CDPS150 with their SP34 (3 pedals) us AUD 753 (in the US)

The weighted Casio keyboards are reasonable nice...

You still need a simple stand to place it on...

I use an old Alesis QS8 for my 88-key controller, if you can find one of those used I think it should come in under your budget. It has a really good weighted keyboard, and you get a full-fledged rompler synth in the deal.

If you go for the Korg, get the B2 not the B2N, since the B2N has light-weighted keys (if I understood correctly).
Also have a look at the Roland FP-10, which is in the same price range.

Ended up getting the Alesis 88 Recital. It’s a bit more entry level but that’s pretty much where we’re at. It’s got great reviews and has the features I want plus it’s $300 cheaper! 😀

                Thanks again everyone.
