Hi all, maybe you have heard that I got a water accident in my studio. Floor is back up again and question arise.. as I have the option now to choose.

Q: Floor, wood (fake tiled, hard) or broadloom (wall to wall fitted carpet)?

Sorry that happened Magnus. I hope it all comes back together nicely. A solid floor would give you the option of using area carpets later for both flavors. Good luck!

I agree with Scott - go with hard surface floor. You can add carpet/rug in spots as required.

Thanks for your replies. I had a quicl listen today in the room, empty. Seriously, very excited now for next recording session. I think a real drum room mic will work nicely now.
