I don't know if you need it, but if you get it I predict you'll like it 🙂 I throw the channel strip as a general purpose plugin on tons of tracks, it hardly uses any cpu, has all your basic tools in one. It is quick and easy to do some filtering, and EQ, the compressor is easy and quick to use. I like the slider for making adjustments to stuff after I already automated the volume without interfereing with that. I have seen a tutorial where a guy used the trim to help with gain staging his tracks at the start of a mix. Looks like a cool idea. The bus compressor is outstanding and I use it on the mix bus every mix as the "glue".
