      I've just bought a DBX 266XL compressor; didn't have a big budget and was looking for something to gently compress when tracking vocals/guitars. I've heard this compressor can be quite aggressive sounding too (which I quite like the idea of if I want to use it as an effect). Anyone got any experience with these units?

        I've used it for front of the house mixing (mainly vocals). I was quite happy with them. Especially when you look at the price. I didn't use them in a agressive way. Just some gentle compression to keep things under control.
