Hey!
If you're doing a remix of CLO let's share your efforts in this here thread. Maybe for some constructive feedback or just as a showcase. In either way post the link to your submissions, I for one would like to hear them.

Here is my take. Warren said "go crazy", so this is it. Sort of %)
I tried to rebuild everything around the vocal line, embedded grooves and emotions. And added a happy end š

Sergey, nice rock vibes here, feels like a fusion between modern pop & indie rock.
Derren, love the distorted soundscape you evolve to (a proper huge low end kick would have made it into a proper masterpiece of a remix). Very creative and nice work!
I made two remixes, the first one finished lacked something, hard to say what exactly but it lacked some "magic". This is that one: https://soundcloud.com/emilsson/blackout-emilsson-uptempo-remix
The second one turned into something completely different, but here I felt something. This one had something, so this is the one I submitted to the competition. https://soundcloud.com/emilsson/clo-blackout-emilsson-deep-remix

I'm not quite into this kind of music, so not sure if it would be stylistically correct, but I think I would try to make vocals less prominent. There's just some redundant boldness embedded in the performance here and there for such an atmospheric track.

December 20, 2020 at 7:29 am #85183GlenParticipantHi everyone, I was going for a kinda ABBA vibe, any feedback more than welcome š Iām very much enjoying listening to all the variety out there, will be very interesting to see what grabs the ears of the panel!

December 21, 2020 at 1:22 am #85207David EmminsParticipantHi everyone - I went full on Hip Hop with my remix and got an old collaborator to add a rap for me to make it a full on LA/London mash up.
The rap was recorded without my input (due to COVID!) and was distorted when I got it so had to clean it up as best I could.
I look forward to hearing your comments!

December 21, 2020 at 12:24 pm #85236SpookyParticipantI wasn't expecting that! I think your part is really good, and I especially liked the bassline building up at the end
December 21, 2020 at 12:29 pm #85238Arthur LabusModeratorIt startet with a joke ... progressive rock remix featuring Fabio Minuzzis guitar solo š
December 21, 2020 at 12:31 pm #85239SpookyParticipantHere is my submission. I could write a couple of paragraphs about everything that sounds wrong to me about it, but overall it sounds good and I'm really happy with the composition. It's vaguely inspired by Joy Division and ATDI. I hope you enjoy it!
