      Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has had experience with the BSS DPR-404 compressor. Theres one near me on sale for a good deal and was wondering how it is.

      Thanks,

      Chris

Hey Chris, used the hardware version years ago and always liked it. Found it quite clinical. The de-esser is good.. simple which is good for a dum dum like me.
It’s good for a drum crush bus.
I now have the waves plugin which is very much the same. Maybe get that as part of the 50% off deal they have going now to give it a try.
        It’s also good on guitar.

        Hope that helps

Cool, thanks! I think the waves one is actually the DPR-402 model which is just the two channel. I'm looking at the 404 which is a quad compressor and just has toggle switches for fast or slow attack and release. It has dessers on it too which i think would be great for live sound too.

No worries Paul! I'm sure the compressors are pretty close.
