In 1983 I earned dual BS degrees from the University of Illinois. One degree was in Electrical Engineering and one was in Music Recording and Audio Technology (self-designed curriculum). After graduation I worked for MCI in Ft. Lauderdale as a design engineer working on their multi-track consoles and tape machines. After a couple years, I moved to California and left the audio industry.
I have played music for over 40 years (yeah, boomer). Around 2011 I started building a studio and rehearsal space in my garage. I have been slowly expanding my setup, working on a shoestring budget, and have primarily used the studio for recording rehearsals for my bands. During the pandemic, I had lots of time to go through my vault and pull out the best tracks. I decided to focus on adding keyboard parts and mixing the tracks I had collected over the years.
Now that I am nearing retirement from my day job, I want to spend more time working on my producing skills.
