I've enjoyed and fully-understood the content on the importance of phase alignment when using sound sources with multiple mics (drums, guitar cab multi-miking, rooms etc) - but I'm now aware there's a lot of stereo field phase issues caused by ITB mixing plugins (EQ with steep Q, steep-slope filtering, stereo-widening FX and the abundance of FX onboard in software and hardware synths etc). Mixing semi-modular and modular sources also present challenges.

As a result I've perhaps become (overly) obsessed with the phase-correlation meter in my DAW, confused about the use of dual/binaural panning, mixing for mono environments and cautious about using +24db filter sloped, deep-cut EQ, wide panning and stereo widening!

      HELP!
