Song Idea Multitrack Session

Hey everybody!

Here's a multitrack session of a backing track for a song idea I'm working on. If you want to you can download it and use it to practice your mixing skills on, do a remix or whatever.

If you want to make contributions of your own feel free to do so. Just put a link to your recorded track(s) in this thread. I may or may not use them in my finished production, and you can always do a version of your own if you've come up with something you really like.

What I'm looking for more than anything is someone to write lyrics and a vocalist to complete the song.

Hi Anders, I have downloaded the seps and I will probably have to wait a few weeks before I can mix as I am mixing my bands latest songs but I hope to have a mix up by early March. 🙂

Thought I'd have a go at mixing, but as soon as I heard the track, lyrics popped into my head.

I uploaded a couple of Vocal Stems to dropbox : 1 mono lead and 1 stereo pair of backing + the lyrics in a notepad doc.

I think I'm a decent songwriter, but I KNOW I'm a lousy singer, so earmuffs and alcohol are advised 😉

First I'm having a go at Mixing some guy called "Wyclef Jean" or something at the moment via that indabmusic site.

That's very sweet of you, but I knooooow I can't sing. But with a decent vocalist, I think the lyrics could be pretty good. Depending, of course, on what Anders thinks. He's probably got some rockin' lyrics in his pocket already. 😉

Yeah, it was waaaay outside my comfort zone and not my usual style. ...buuut, it felt right for the song.

Of course, it all depends on what Anders thinks. ...it's his baby.
