      Maybe you have done this but anyway, here is a simple tip.
      On mixing drums with bleed, especially on a live snare. Copy and reverse the track, put on a gate with a slow attack and a fast release. Bounce track and then reverse the track back again. The gate opens just before the hit and the decay of the snare is set by the length of the attack of the gate above. Now you can really push the gated clean snare. Works every time for me. Blending the original track for the live feel.
