Hi all, I want to retire my racksynths and go 100% software. What troubles me is that I want it as easy as I have it now when playing live. My setup today is two keyboards (pc style only midi) merging the midi stream and feeding that to a multitimbral rack synth (jv-2080). Each keyboard is setup as plain as possible sending midi data on seperate midi channels with no splits happening at keyboard level. When I change song I just transmit one program change and splits, layering, zones, patches, whatever, change for both keyboards in the synth.
Question: How do I achieve that with soft synths? I guess there exist some host program that I can load multiple different soft synths into, send program change from my keyboards and the host change splits, routing, patches, whatever is preprogrammed.

I just saw the M-Audio CTRL 49 with the Software VIP 2.0
Seems very interesting too, since you can use every vst instrument and plugin, make patches and then set lists from the software or from one of those controllers.

Sure looks interesting. Very curious where to get this piece of software and what it costs. Only bundled with some controller keyboards? Thanks again Guido.
