      Hi Warren,
I was thinking about the FBF comment on sounds and how equipment influenced this. My Good Lovin' mix was dark and very 60/70s deliberately but also because I know that equipment and period sound. I know I struggle to make modern mixes because they sound too bright to me.
So I was thinking that a lesson that lays out key differences in the sonic landscape for different eras would be useful. I know we can listen to other tracks as references but what are the key elements of a period of genre in a producers mind? Drums up drums down, bright or dark, fat or thin low end...etc. I am visual person so if I could write up such a lesson in a chart that says ...50 mix key factors 1 2 3 4 60s mix .... etc etc I would find that very useful for knowing what it is I should keep in mind while working on a mix.
      Cheers Mark
