ParticipantHello
Pretty sure I've used the slightly off time tracks (for that human element) and dropped a couple of presets onto Tobi's midi

I've popped Tim's new gtr's in just having a play round with different mixes

KeymasterAdded a Honky Tonk Piano 'cos you've gotta have some Honky Tonk! Got a bit West World in places... HBO West World 😉

ParticipantHonky Tonkin are ya Toby? Cool. 🙂 It's got that outta tune effect. Here's a bass part. Disclaimer I'm not a bass player but tried it anyway. Made it a little fuzzy with the Pre. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1N8r3sOkdBzPkgRoSYH3KzeEL6E7f2huQ

KeymasterAdded the bass in. Cut some of the Honky Tonk out. And then brought the Honky Tonk back for the breakdown - 'cos I like its flavor there. And cut the bass from the breakdown. Than keep a little Honky Tonk right at the very end. Contrast helps to signpost the track a little bit. Just dropboxing the demo mix.

ParticipantOh jeez got busy with other things last night, let's see...Cool Toby. Listening back now I got too busy with the bass, guitar player bass 🙂 , not surprised you pulled it out in that section. I'll change that to be much more simple and post a new bass track I think I'd like to hear bass in that part just not all that stuff I played at first. 🙂
It's interesting to see / hear how when you "jam" like this you see how much different it is to create a piece of music collaborating online vs face to face. When working with other people I'm usually in the same room and the "Oh I should change this or that to fit what another part is doing" happens almost without realizing it. When one does it this way you get to do the same it's just takes longer but on the flip side you get a different perspective of what and how you arrive at the parts you create. Just my own observation.

ParticipantHello
adding the tracks in later tonight to see whats been happening 🙂 Its takes a bit of getting used to but if we can get this going from week to week not everyone has to do every week, than it should become quicker. Not actually knowing people in person takes a little getting used to but doing this should help getting used to the process.
