Here is my mix of the song “Old Fashioned Way” that Marc Daniel Nelson recently gave us on the PLAP YouTube automation video.

I used the Black Box Saturation plug-in from Plug-in Alliance on a lot of the tracks, including the vocals. My new favorite plug-in without a doubt.

I like it.  The ambient sound-scape is perfect.  I would try to get the finger squeaks on the acoustic under control, if that can be done.  Have not heard the original but whatever you added or took away left a nice blend.

I like it, sounds really clean and detailed on my desktop speakers. Have to check it out on real speakers/headphones. One suggestion, pull the vocal reverb back in the verse to bring the singer in a little closer to the listener, then push it out to where you had it in the chorus.
