I thought I add these multitracks as well for you all to have fun with. All tracks are stereo 24bit/48khz, even if the source is mono. It's just how Ableton works. Some of the tracks have delays etc on them because they were recorded from hardware like that.

Cool. Thanks for sharing. I'll have a listen. Not really my genre, so it'll be a useful learning exercise to take a look at the multi-tracks.

        Tobi.

Hey Magnus. Again, thanks so much for doing this, surprisingly difficult to find good stuff to mix in this kind of genre so its great to get these tracks. And like last time, great production and song, really enjoyed it. Anyway, don't think my attempt is a remix as such, though made some edits and did a lot of processing. Thanks again, really appreciate it.

            Hello Stu!

Nice bass heavy sound to it, I like it, changes the feel of the track completely. It might be on the bassy side, but I like it like that.

Hey Magnus, thanks for having a listen, much appreciated. You might be right regarding the bass too, wasn't sure what I was trying to do with the sub track really, all got a bit confusing!

                Hi Magnus,

I gave it another feel, it's more like Night Time Driving in the city 🙂

                Cheers,
                Louis

                  Hi Stu,

I think this bass thing is easy to solve with a tilt filter, it doesn't need much. Just a little clean up in the low end and a little lift in the high end. Nice groove and the transitions are subtle and effective. As always, your creativity is tasteful! I like what you did.

                  Cheers,
                  Louis

                    Hey Louis!

Brilliant! I love the small break/transition at 35 sec. I also really liked what you did with FM-noodles. Both your mixes have completely different feel from both the original and each other, brilliant and very interesting to hear.

                    /Magnus

Thx Magnus. This kind of music is right up my alley, you'll probably hear that 🙂 Your production was very suitable to get some "old" things out of the closet. Something like Kraftwerk meets Jean Michel Jarre. I only used vintage processing like a Roland DEP5 delay, Eventide 2016 reverb, an RMX 16 and a Binson Echorec unit. I decided to make the dynamics of the mix modern and punchy (is the click of the BD not a tad too much?). There's a lot of processing under the hood, the low mids were a challenge to give every thing its place without losing warmth.

Just that you know, if you want, you can use my mixes commercially. Quid pro quo 😉

                      Cheers,

                      Louis

                      P.S. : Sunday dubs next? 🙂

Hey Louis, was hoping to have a listen, is your mix anywhere else? And thanks a lot for the feedback, glad you had a listen. I think the whole bottom end needs a volume re-balance first tbh.

                          Hi Stu,

Oooops, I deleted it from my dropbox, sorry... it should work again now

Louis, thanks. Great mix, I love it. The space and clarity you achieved is fantastic, whole thing is very smooth indeed. Excellent work on the low end too. Really clever change in mood around 1.40, you handled that nicely. Really swinging too. This makes my mix sound like a sausage.
