Yes that's impressive Kip an interview when Warren's over this way would be good.

Did anyone move this idea forward. Or are we waiting for someone to boldly step forward 🙂Mark

Participantim of course hopeful... but i think there is other career type things people are working on and i think this stuff will be on the facebook page.
i have continued to set challenges for myself....its not as engaging as when you work with others but still i am learning things i need to work on.

ParticipantHello
yes I've not been posting anything up, but still working on problems/skills I can identify for myself. Now I've had my first round of advice and ventured into the courses :).
Not catching live steams at the moment but have a read through in here and watching back when I can.

ParticipantHow do we organize it and decide which tracks?
I think we can do sub-chats here, maybe we should set up a more "in person" discussion sometime?

Participantwell before it was just the monthly song...toby would put up polls and people would vote for what they wanted ..alot came from recording revolution i think as far as just start doing it sort a thing/mentality

ModeratorI am quiet lost in here.
So we are trying to start a Mix Challenge ?February 28, 2019 at 5:27 pm #58365Mark Holden
ParticipantHello Arthur
I think Kip (and us) were interested in setting some restriction on how or what we use to mix with to see what we come up with. Kinda force ourselves to learn the tools inside out which may help us find some creative uses for plugins or if we take it a step further mics for that matter.

ModeratorI know Mark 😀
We did it already few times, however i am lost a bit in conversation. So just me:
I would suggest to use Academy or another free source tracks. I would prefer Academy songs.
I would also suggest to set the plugins pool, so we were forced to use the same.March 1, 2019 at 1:52 am #58370CJ [Spectrum424]
ParticipantThis sounds interesting.
I'm in. As long as it's not exclusive to using a specifik DAWMarch 1, 2019 at 2:55 am #58371Arthur Labus
ModeratorNo Johan, we are not going that far 😉
I was thinking about mixing with very "limited" tools like simple channel strip (like Waves Scheps 73 or Audio Assault RM-2) and compressor and reverb.
Or mixing with free plugins only - Airwindows would be cool, anyway there so many of them LOLAs far i know we already had: 5 free plugins, stock only plugins, plugins from only one manufacture.
Or we could do stripped down, acoustic, unplugged version of "End Of The World" no matter what plugins ?
EDIT: found two interesting free plugins for both universes
