      Name: Jesse Burch

My studio is in rural Massachusetts, an hour’s drive from everything.

Bio: I played guitar and a little bass in bands in high school and college; my studies forced me to take what I thought would be a short break, which turned into a 20 year hiatus. I recently got the bug to make music again, and have found that I really love mixing as a creative process. I feel that I am still learning, but I would love to get good enough to get paid to mix someday.

DAW of choice: Studio One- currently running Version 3 Artist with a few add-ons
Genres I primarily work with: Rock, Pop, ska
Favorite Plugins: many of the stock S1 plugins are great (Fat Channel, Red Light Dist, Ampire, and the Parametric EQ for example); the MAG EQ and BX_Opto from Plugin Alliance; Klanghelm’s DDR2, AC1, and MUCJR.
Gear List: a ten year old HP Pavilion, Presonus Audiobox two channel interface, KRK Rokit 5’s, A Mackie Big Knob passive monitor controller, Akai MIDI controller, some SM58’s and a few even cheaper dynamic mics, a Behringer B1 LD condenser and a pair of Bheringer C2 SD condensers. I have an old Squire Strat, a Kona P-bass, and a Fender acoustic guitar.
Gear Wish List: A MacBook Pro, an upgrade to S1 Version 4 professional, better monitors, and an 8-channel Faderport
