Gracie - Steve Maggiora - mix by John Sammers

I wanted to try a single mic drum mix and I'm a big fan of both Steve and Audient so gave this track a try.

I have mixed it pretty lightly for me (BVs, piano and guitars) because I didn't want to have too much work on the kit (my first attempt folded in). I lightened up my use of compressors on the kit. The Klanghelm MUJC really helped shape the tone.

It's a little crunchy but feels balanced to me. Feedback appreciated.

I really dig it. You MIGHT bring the guitars up a little??? It's hard to tell for me. I'm listening on a crappy semi truck radio. I can't say enough about those drums. Especially the snare. I'd be very happy with it on my songs. Good work. UDAMAN!
