Hello Peeps!

The people have spoken! April's Mixing Challenge is 'Game of Favs'.

Mix only using plugins from your favorite manufacturer. That's it. Pretty straight forward.

Maybe we could format the title that way for the remixes, call it 'Game of xxx' eg. 'Games of Waves', if you use Waves plugins 'Game of Slate', if you use Slate etc. Bit silliness, but also makes it easy to see who's using what.

I'd be 'Game of FabFilter'

Just to make it not so straight forward.... Where do we stand on plugin alliance? Just the bx and white-label stuff? Everything? Just one marque? They are my faves, and can get by with any choice I think, though it will leave me without reverb or delay either way O_o

My challenge is to ignore the mix challenge and focus on the mix.
Seriously though, the challenge ought to be prescriptive NOT constructive. Like, pick something you are struggling with and strive to get 25% better this month.

Just my $.02

Still, hard to resist a challenge. I would choose my favorite Izotope but they don't have reverb and delay. So then it's Slate but it's a compromise that takes away from getting the best mix. To get that I may use both - or neither depending on the song. Hence, my criticism of the restrive challenge.
