      Hi Guys,

      I thought I'd start a thread on our "Favourite Mixes/Productions," or any songs that you are currently studying. I do a lot of critical listening and study from mixes of Spike Stent, Serban Ghenea etc and love some of the interesting sounds they produce in their mixes.

      Currently I've been studying these two songs below:

      Side to Side - Ariana Grande
      24K Magic - Bruno Mars

      I find the bass very interesting on both of these songs. "Side to Side," has a huge bass, yet very controlled!

      I love the treatment and drum production in 24K magic also. So snappy and crisp!

      I thought if in anyone was interested in sharing any mixes or productions currently being studying we could get a good discussion going?

        i have no experience with those 2 bands(did go to youtube to check them out)...i would love to see this thread develop tho
        what im trying to study is layering..... My Bloody Valentine Loveless sort of trying to paint soundscape with pretty noise ...only as an impressionist...if you know what i mean
        also i am looking into tchad blake ..for that anti reverb...because i love it to much he is great mixer
