I'm not a drummer but I need some advice before I buy a used drum kit for my studio. Something special I should think about, like the size of the kick and kind of snare drum etc.

        Hi Micke,
The size would be down to you're budget and style, for a kick a good all rounder would be a 22 x 18.

          Hey Micke

As a drummer i would say you can go either way with sizes. In my opinion it's about tuning, skins and (no)dampening. Big sizes don't always say it all. I've have 18" bassdrum that sounds huge when it has to and punchy or boomy when that's required. Considering toms just take care you have a 12" and a floortom.

I would say put your money in the snare, that's a lot of the identity of the kit and in skins.

            Thanks Rob

Good information I think I'm gonna try to find at least 2 different snare drums to get different options snare sound is very important.
