*EDIT (22.4.2022): Please, can you use latest version of my mix, i uploaded it late last night. Thank You!*

      Hello PLAPERS,

I was not participating in this mixing contest (song Chelsea by band Dragged Under) but I wanted to mix this song as a practice for "heavier sounding" mix . I hope it is not a problem if I post it for FF. Here it is:

I appreciate the feedback. Best regards,

      Ben

I really can't comment on this mix because you're on a whole different level than I am. I don't think I've ever heard the song let alone the original mix so I'm not sure exactly what you had to work with but I can't tell you that this is a radio ready mix. Honestly, I honestly don't see how this song could sound any better. As a matter of fact, if you are so inclined I would like to know if I can send you some of my own multitracks. This mix has something mine are missing, "ENERGY"!. If you are indeed interested I'd love to send you at least one song. Let me know okay? And truly this is top tier work

I have to use talk to text by the way and it gets me wrong about 50% of the time. I didn't read that before I sent it, it's supposed to say, I don't think I've ever heard the song or the original mix so I'm not sure what you had to work with but I can tell you this is a radio ready mix.

This thing misunderstands me all the time

            Hello Donald,

Thank You for Your kind words. I appreciate the time You took to listen to my mix.

Don't worry for "talk to text" misunderstanding, I got what You wanted to say. I would be happy to give it a try with Your multitracks. We can try with one song and see how it will be. Actually, if it works, maybe it can be good as a collaboration song for a academy collaboration week. Feel free to send me message here in academy to see the details.

Thank You again and best regards,

            Ben

Aloha Benjamin, listen to your mix and I have this remarks for it:

for a other listening this link in front :=) Dragged Under - Chelsea Mix Contest 2020 Mix by Joerg Stagge JST-Studios - YouTube

hmm Cymbals are a bit too splashy or how say makes it a bit harsh sounding overall and too loud in full song -1dB.

Definition low end you have rumbling in area of 20-35hz a bit too much, use pass filters for bass and kick drum also guitars to clean low end.

The balance is very well done, good sounding.

The low end can be better defined. bass and kick fights. 120 area for bass is not killed out to let him breath means on kick track.

              Cheers -JST-
