    In fact, i am programming drums. Replacing was brand new zone 🙂
    I did it with Reaper - there is an option to slice the hits and replace with samples OR generate MIDI notes.
    It needs some treatment by hand, but finally i got midi drum track with all that precious dynamics from original.
    So i was able to do some touch ups and play it with round robin layered samples.
